Emmy award winning director and writer Katie Damien is from Asheville, North Carolina.  She works in commercial production as well as independent film as a writer, director and producer. ​In 2007 Katie began writing short stories and articles for magazines. She holds multiple screen writing credits and is currently working on her first novel, Children of Dust and Fire. Check back for updates.

​Katie has been working as a professional photographer since the early 2000s. Her credits include covers with Scene Magazine and Purena's Rally Rescue Magazine and published work with Owl and Spade Magazine and the Asheville Citizen Times.
